Having never stayed at a B&B before I was so incredibly happy with my experience at Refreshstay! I received the warmest of welcomes, the facilities and room exceeded my expectations, and cleanliness was first rate. Wifi was super fast and easy to access. The shower was very powerful with instant hot water, and it was a great way to wake up each morning. I was presented a beautiful breakfast at the time of my choosing, with excellent coffee - and lots of it! I would not hesitate to return to Refreshstay. This is a first-rate guest experience and I would rate it a firm 10 out of 10!

Some people hunt for treasure. others stumble across it... There is a treasure in Palmerston North called Refreshstay. We tasted its nectar over almost three days. Hosts Terri and Vince are so naturally friendly, love your company and are genuinely interested in hearing about your experiences. You do not feel compelled to make conversation, but drawn. Thanks for your natural hospitality, the gourmet meals (I am a trained chef and was gobsmacked by the culinary skill and atmosphere), the laughter, the fascinating stories, and the movie that followed the perfect dinner. We have been to numerous hotels, motels, B&Bs and restaurants over 40 years but never like this. The only reservation we have in sharing the Refreshstay gem is that it may push us to the back of the queue.

Hands down the best Airbnb experience yet! Refreshstay was very accommodating of our later than expected arrival. The place is absolutely gorgeous and very welcoming. Coming as strangers, leaving as friends! This was the most welcoming place we stayed in since we started our trip in November 2016 - and we have seen many. Why choosing Palmerston North? For us there were several reasons: We wanted to be off the beaten track and see NZ's hidden secrets in the countryside. And being an architect I fell in love with this outstanding state-of-the-art design house and cutting-edge technology. And last but not least there are lovely hosts Terri and Vince, and Clicquot, this charming little dog. We spent two nights with very stimulating conversations, had a very tasty dinner and wine from a well stocked wine 'cellar'. What more do you need? We loved our time at Refreshstay. The modern architecturally designed house is tucked down a driveway on the quiet tree lined Ake Ake Ave. Terri and Vince (and their friendly little dog) greeted us with smiles and were very accommodating. The home is very spacious, exceptionally clean and furnished with unique art works and designer furniture. The upstairs area reserved for guests is perfect - The bed was very comfy and the bathroom kitted out with everything you need (hairdryer, nice soaps and shampoos etc). Oh and the breakfast - These two foodies could open a 1st class cafe - Exceptional. Thanks, we loved our stay and would book again in a heartbeat.

A very stylish home, architecturally-designed, with a top floor just for the guests, complete with a very well appointed bathroom - fabulous shower! There are some steps up to the guest room with a solid railing. The bed was really comfy, the room spacious, appointed with a TV for evening relaxation. Two friendly furry doggy friends greet you on arrival. They have lots of fun playing "chase" around the sitting room and love a scratch behind the ear now and then. The hosts were always helpful with all aspects of my stay and were most generous with their hospitality. Wonderful bird song to announce the day! A most enjoyable stay all round.
